Getting Started

Please contact UMIC at fmri@unlv.edu if you have questions about getting started on your proposed study.

Step 1: Create a Project

Step 2: Proposal Approval

Submit your study protocol and proof of IRB approval for administrative review. Our team will evaluate the technical requirements of your project to ensure success on our system. You will receive a formal notification once your project is cleared for data collection.

Step 3: Complete MRI Safety Training

All users must complete required safety training before accessing the facility.

Step 4: UMIC Building and Scanner Access

  • Hours: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (Mon–Fri)
  • Contact fmri@unlv.edu to schedule an appointment before arriving
  • Building access must be coordinated with MRI technologist, Minerva Massis and/or the Associate Director Dr. Ayan Sengupta.
